After 2 decades as a practicing Osteopath and more recently stepping into the field of Leadership Development, Business Consulting and Mentoring, my passion has always been education. I am equally passionate about lifting the bar for the Osteopathic profession and ensuring our team at Western Region Health lead by example.

I recognize the work of many experienced mentors delivering valuable education and guidance in the field of Osteopathy, but one of my greatest lessons is that ‘time is the new rich.’ Most exceptional practitioners do not have the time to detail their legacy, nor a platform to share it.

That’s where I come in.

In 2015 my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor only hours after the birth of my daughter. This moment was a huge change in trajectory for me and my career. I am one of the lucky one. The surgery was a success, but the weakness in my left arm was permanent. I was told I would “NEVER TREAT AGAIN”. A heart-wrenching thought for a successful clinic owner and passionate ‘hands-on’ practitioner. A prognosis that without the right mindset, could have been more debilitating than the condition itself.

This fueled my love for teaching, leadership, and communication. During my two year recovery I stepped away from practice and added to my post-graduate certification in training and assessment. I completed my studies in authentic leadership at Harvard Business School and clinical leadership at Melbourne University. This became the foundation for GrowthRx, my employment workshops, business consulting, online courses, and these mentoring programs – a decade long passion project.

I turned my misfortune into a legacy.

It’s often impossible for busy clinic owners take time out of practice to write content, but that’s exactly what I did.

I’m humbled to be considered a respected leader and mentor, so it gives me great pride to finally share the tools and experiences that have helped numerous associates and hundreds of osteopathic students, transform from ‘Good to Great’ in Private Practice.

I have compiled, polished and documented countless hours of valuable advice into a series of easy to follow, structured modules. These tutorials are taken directly from Western Region Health & Osteopathy’s reputable internship and decade long mentoring program.

As a result of my contribution to post-graduate education I was recognised by Victoria University and given the honour of being for presented an Alumni Award for Outstanding Service and a finalist in the 2021 Allied Health Awards.

Originally written for Osteopathy Australia, these programs were too detailed to deliver as e-learning modules, but still too valuable not to share.
