We are thrilled to announce Jeff Rufila, exercise physiologist and mentor, as one of this year’s GRx Rising-Stars of 2020. Already well respected in exercise physiology, Jeff is ready to make an impact on the wider allied health community. A deserving winner!
Jeff is passionate about education and making a meaningful change in other people’s lives. With his love for teaching, particularly communication, he has recently started a mentorship program to help tertiary students and young practitioners develop, and ‘become the best health professionals and leaders they can be’.
Through his public speaking and podcast, he enjoys empowering people to become more courageous and to take action. Jeff loves nothing more than to learn ‘from those more experienced and knowledgeable.’ Last year, he was fortunate enough to be chosen to present at Royal North Shore Hospital, and this year he released his first eBook, ‘Communicating Pain’.
Jeff loves expanding his professional network and meeting new people. The Running EP Podcast is now into its 15th episode. He loves sharing other’s experiences, and truly believes in the power of human connection. As an exercise physiologist, he says ‘being a part of one’s journey for the better is something that brings me fulfilment and happiness.”
